Graduate Student

Headshot
Lun (Eric) is a current master’s student in the Therapeutic Science program at Harvard Medical School. He holds a B.A. in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) COMPASS Scholar. During his undergraduate thesis research, Eric utilized optogenetic systems to profile how different cancers rewire the Integrated Stress Response and to uncover its implications for cell survival and apoptosis.

His current research in the Aguirre lab focuses on studying the mechanisms behind treatment resistance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), with the goal of identifying new vulnerabilities that can inform rational therapeutic strategies. Eric is passionate about translating system-level insights into new treatment strategies and plans to pursue a doctoral program following his master’s program.

Outside of the lab, he enjoys playing basketball, watching sports, traveling, and exploring nature.
