Mona Tomaschko, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Mona is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Aguirre Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on uncovering the mechanisms that drive responses and resistance to KRAS inhibitor–based therapies in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
Before joining the Aguirre Lab, Mona completed her PhD at the Francis Crick Institute and Imperial College London under the supervision of Professor Julian Downward, where she investigated synergistic therapy effects, promoting immune-rejection of KRAS inhibitor resistant tumour subpopulations in non-small cell lung cancer.
She is broadly interested in understanding how tumour cell states and signalling networks shape therapeutic responses, by combining experimental approaches with computational data analysis. Her long-term goal is to contribute to the design of more effective targeted and combination treatment strategies for RAS-driven cancers.
Outside of the lab, Mona enjoys travelling, art, running, and spending time with her loved ones.
