Wenbo Wu
Graduate Student
Westley (Wenbo) is currently a trainee in the Harvard/MIT MD-PhD program, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry & Biology and Mathematics at MIT in 2023. As an undergraduate, Wenbo worked on various PDAC projects in Dr. Andrew Aguirre’s lab (synthetic lethality, characterization of PDAC dependencies) and on a solid-state NMR project with Dr. Mei Hong (SARS-CoV-2 E protein structure). These experiences collectively cultivated a strong interest in developing and applying mathematical and computational models to address mechanisms of treatment resistance in pancreatic cancer. Wenbo hopes that the skills honed over the coming years will not only inform a clinical/academic training trajectory, but also more importantly directly improve patient outcomes.
Outside the classroom and lab, Wenbo enjoys creating visual art, cooking, reading & writing poetry, hiking, and shopping at TJ Maxx.
