Winston Becker, MD, PhD
Medical Oncology Fellow/Postdoctoral Fellow
Winston is a clinical fellow in medical oncology and a postdoctoral fellow in the Aguirre Lab. Winston earned an MD and a PhD in Biophysics from Stanford University. For his PhD, he was advised by Will Greenleaf, and his work focused on applying high throughput biophysical methods to develop models of RNA-protein interactions, as well as using functional genomics and single-cell approaches to study differentiation in the healthy colon and malignant transformation in colorectal cancer. He then completed Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Clinically, he sees patients in gastrointestinal oncology. His research interests focus on leveraging functional genomics approaches to study drug resistance and identify new treatment strategies for pancreatic cancer.
