Natalia Pretel

My research focuses on developing and applying computational methods to analyze large-scale single-cell RNA sequencing data across cancer types, with the goal of improving cell type annotation and characterizing tumor heterogeneity. I work on a pan-cancer project aiming to unravel the differences between healthy cells, primary tumor cells, and metastatic cells.

Always interested in learning new things and hoping to contribute in my own small way to science and research, my background is in biomedical sciences and clinical research in Spain, including experience coordinating clinical trials. This path drew me toward computational biology and its potential to bridge clinical questions with large-scale genomic data, which ultimately led me to pursue my Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Northeastern University in Boston.
