Leo Mejia, BS
After graduating with a BS in Integrative Neuroscience from SUNY-Binghamton Leo moved on to work in the Church lab at Harvard Medical School where he learned and performed complex molecular biology assays and high-throughput sequencing while managing mouse colonies. Before joining the Cancelas lab, Leo was a research assistant at the Animal Behavioral & Physiology Core at Boston Children’s Hospital where he conducted behavioral and physiological characterization of transgenic mouse strains. Now, as the lab manager of the Cancelas Lab, Leo manages the mouse colony by applying his knowledge of molecular biology on the bench and is excited to push cancer research forward while learning new skills on the bench.
