Kaplan-Meier curves

Exciting to see our latest preprint online, a result of a collaborative project with the Sarosiek Lab!

The study tested a novel BCL-XL-targeting drug, DT2216, which degrades the protein. Key findings include:

  • In HGSOC models, DT2216 was as effective as paclitaxel alone but avoided the toxic side effects on platelets seen with other BCL-XL inhibitors.
  • Combining DT2216 with paclitaxel completely eradicated tumors in cell and patient-derived xenografts.
  • Targeted degradation of BCL-XL may offer a more durable response than simple inhibition.

Overall, the findings provide a strong rationale for the clinical development of BCL-XL-targeting degraders like DT2216 to overcome chemotherapy resistance in ovarian and other solid tumors.
