Myles Brown, MD

Myles Brown is the Emil Frei III Professor of Medicine at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University. He then completed residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Prior to starting his own laboratory, he was a research fellow in the labs of David Livingston and Phillip Sharp. Dr. Brown's research laboratory focuses on elucidating the epigenetic factors underlying the action of steroid hormones. This work has important implications both for normal physiology and for the treatment of hormone-dependent malignancies including breast and prostate cancer.
