Melissa Valqui

Melissa received her B.A. in Chemistry, with a specialization in Biochemistry, along with a French Studies minor from Boston University in May of 2023. She returned to BU as a postbac research fellow with Dr. Deborah Perlstein, studying protein-protein interactions in the CIA pathway and teaching organic chemistry laboratory courses. She then started as a Biochemistry Research Associate at DFCI’s Center for Protein Degradation, doing work on molecular glues and targeted protein degradation before starting at the Fischer Lab in March of 2025.
