 Byron Butaney

Byron Butaney is a Computational Biologist in the Gillani Lab, where he analyzes multiomic single-cell data to advance the understanding and treatment of pediatric solid tumors. He is originally from Arizona and attended Brown University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on applying graph neural networks to impute sparse single-cell Hi-C data using multiomic inputs, laying the foundation for his current work at the intersection of computation and cancer genomics.
