Insco Lab - Identifying Novel Drug Targets in Melanoma

Welcome to the Insco Lab!

RNA biology is expanding rapidly, and basic discoveries are being rapidly translated to therapies. Given the importance of RNA, RNA quality control is essential. We utilize patient data, functional in vivo genetics of zebrafish, and novel molecular techniques in human cultured cells to investigate nuclear RNA surveillance in cancer. We seek to further the mechanistic understanding of RNA surveillance in cancer and provide novel therapeutic approaches for patients, including those with high-risk subtypes such as mucosal melanoma.
