Yanyan Hu, PhD
I grew up in Qufu, China, the hometown of Confucius, and received my Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, where I studied stem cell biology using chemical biology, genomics, and bioinformatics approaches to understand the regulation of cell fate and function.
Currently. I am a Jane Coffin Childs Fellow supported through HHMI.
In the Kaelin Lab, I study how genetic alterations and therapeutic interventions reshape the cell-surface and secreted proteomes of cancer cells, with the goal of uncovering new biological mechanisms, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.
I enjoy listening to music, playing the violin, and spending time with my family and two young children.
