Léa Berland

Léa is a student from the MD-PhD French program (INSERM). She completed her third year of medical school at Nice Sophia Antipolis Medical School and earned her Master’s in Immunology from La Sorbonne, University of Paris. She Did her PhD in Dr. Rashidian’s lab, where she continues to explore the intersection of immunology and cancer biology.

Before joining the Rashidian Lab, Léa conducted a research internship studying the response of lung cancer patients to immunotherapy in Nice, France, followed by another internship in Dr. Calin’s team at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston. To be at the heart of scientific discovery and at the cutting edge of medicine remains her greatest aspiration—she believes that research enables excellence in medical practice and ultimately leads to better care for patients.
