Sina

Sina is a PhD student in the Chemical Biology program at Harvard Medical School with a background spanning chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, mathematics, and biomedical research. He graduated summa cum laude from Emory University with a BSc in Chemistry and Applied Mathematics, completing his honors thesis in Dr. Katherine Davis’s lab on the structural and mechanistic features of radical S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) enzymes. Prior to graduate school, he worked as a Research Associate in Dr. Deborah Hung’s lab at the Broad Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on antibiotic drug discovery against gram-negative bacteria. Building on these experiences, Sina is now pursuing his PhD at Harvard with the goal of applying his interdisciplinary training to immunology, aiming to develop new/improved immunotherapies and immuno-based diagnostics.
