Shadwa wins Landry Fellowship & Karin Grunebaum Cancer Research Foundation Rising Young Scientist Award

Shadwa Bayoumi, a rising 3rd year PhD student in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences and member of the Stegmaier lab, was selected as one of four 2026 Landry Fellows! As a Landry Fellow, Shadwa will receive two years of support from the Landry Cancer Biology Consortium, an innovative consortium of students and faculty that supports multidisciplinary approaches to cancer research. Shadwa also won one of two Karin Grunebaum Cancer Research Foundation (KGCRF) Rising Young Scientist Awards as part of the 2026 KGCRF poster competition. Congratulations, Shadwa!
