Congratulations to Stefan Bjelosevic, PhD, for receiving a 2026 Evelyn and Sidney Rieder Family Trust Fellowship. Two fellowships were awarded this year, with the other going to Daniel Ardeljan, MD, PhD, a Clinical Fellow at DFCI and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Golub lab at the Broad Institute.

Established in 2019, the Rieder Family Trust Fellowship supports the next generation of researchers conducting basic science and clinical research in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Stefan’s project focuses on T cell ALL (T-ALL), an aggressive subtype of ALL that accounts for ~10-15% of diagnoses and is associated with poorer outcomes. Over the two-year fellowship, Stefan will seek to characterize novel T-ALL-specific metabolic dependencies with the goal of catalyzing the development of new drugs for the treatment of this disease.
