Emilie de Vet, MS
HST PhD rotation student
Emilie is excited to join the Tothova lab as a rotation student this winter! Emilie is a Health Sciences and Technology PhD student in the Harvard/MIT Medical Engineering and Medical Physics program. Emilie graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Delft University of Technology with a bachelor's and a master’s in nanobiology. She has previously worked on research projects ranging from stem cell plasticity and regeneration, to mechanobiology of angiogenesis, and spatial transcriptomics technique development. Most recently, she conducted her master’s thesis in the lab of Dr. Karuna Ganesh at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on the epigenetic mechanisms underlying colitis-associated colorectal cancer. In the Tothova lab, Emilie is super excited to contribute to research on the interaction between cohesin, RNA, and the spliceosome in AML. When not in lab, Emilie can be found sailing on the Charles river, running along its shores, hiking, or reading a good book.
