Victoria Feist, BS
HMS BBS PhD rotation student
Victoria is a PhD student in Harvard’s Biological and Biomedical Sciences program. She obtained her BS from the University of Virginia in 2023, where she majored in biology and minored in data science. As an undergraduate, Victoria studied the evolution of host defense mechanisms utilizing both wild and lab-derived nematode models. Upon graduation, Victoria began working as a research specialist in Dr. Vikram Paralkar’s laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania. There, she investigated rRNA transcription dynamics in both normal and leukemic hematopoiesis, as well as the role of chromatin-binding proteins in acute myeloid leukemia transformation. She is thrilled to continue asking questions regarding hematopoiesis and how it can go awry through a completely new lens. Outside of the lab, Victoria can be found hiking, running outdoors, exploring Boston with friends, and continuing to cheer on Philadelphia sports teams.
